Here is the Spacebots quilt for my son Aidan. It turned out really good, a little bright, a little wild, but it's a quilt for a four year old boy, so I think that just makes it perfect. Aidan is loving it, and that is what counts, right?

I used a disappearing nine patch for this quilt, which just added to the whole craziness of this quilt. It was the first time I used a disappearing nine patch, and I gotta say it was a lot of fun! I forgot to take a picture of the back, so when I get a chance to I will show that off. I used a bright red print, (it's the print with the nuts and bolts, I used some in the front if you can spot it!), and I pieced a strip of blocks from the front. I love the back, my husband and daughter aren't sure if they like the pieced strip, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions, I am just choosing to ignore theirs.

And here is the part where I wrote Aidan's name. I chose a spot that wouldn't stand out too much, in case it turned out really bad. I think I did pretty good for my first try!
My husband and I just got back from a little two day getaway, so check back in soon for pictures and a little post. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of my "Spacbots" quilt, go ahead I would love to hear every one's opinions, even if I do ignore them :)

This is so fun! I really love the colors you chose. I'm really liking the light blue, it really makes the quilt pop. I think you did an excellent job. ^_~
LOVE IT!!!
